PHC-home

Purification Heritage Center is a sanctuary of time and space in rural eastern Georgia where groups and individuals are invited to contemplate, reflect, and encounter the Lord in a peaceful and sacred setting.

Encompassing historic Locust Grove Cemetery, The Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Heritage Preserve, the site of future meditative spaces and retreat center, Purification Heritage Center provides a welcoming environment to seek, find, and renew faith through beauty, peace, and historical connection.

SEEK

Purification Heritage Center hosts three Masses each year along with spiritual retreats and special prayer days.

  • First Saturday Prayers

On the Church calendar, the month of May is dedicated to the Virgin Mary as a reminder to the faithful to strive to imitate our Blessed Mother’s virtue in our own lives. Join us for a special First Saturday Prayer day as we honor Mary.

We will begin at the Church of the Purification with the Angelus at noon, followed by a floral procession to the statue of Mary. At Heritage Preserve, we will crown Our Lady of Grace with flowers and pray the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary in Grace Garden. Join us for a BYOP "bring your own picnic" at the pavilion.

"I am still spiritually overwhelmed from the rosary we said in Grace Garden.

It was the most powerful prayer experience I have had in quite some time.

The setting was perfect and the Holy Spirit is definitely flowing in that place."

I just spent the most beautiful day at Purification Heritage Center ... Healing, such healing...I just want to spend every moment of everyday there in prayer.
